Product and customer experience
Helped define how customers enroll, use a digital-wallet pass, earn rewards, and return to the shop, while considering how the experience must work for baristas and owners.
Co-founded venture · Pre-pilot · 2026
My role across product direction, customer experience, physical touchpoints, pilot planning, and go-to-market preparation for myReturners.
01 · The venture
myReturners is a wallet-based loyalty and retention product designed for independent coffee shops. Customers tap an NFC touchpoint or scan a QR code, enroll without downloading another app, add a loyalty pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and return to have rewards looked up and stamped.
For coffee-shop owners, the product is intended to make a modern loyalty program easier to launch and manage while giving them visibility into customer activity through an owner dashboard.
02 · My role
As co-founder, I work across product decisions, positioning, the physical in-store experience, pilot planning, and early go-to-market preparation. My technical co-founder leads development and hands-on technical testing. We work together where product behavior, customer experience, and technical feasibility meet.
03 · What I have worked on
Helped define how customers enroll, use a digital-wallet pass, earn rewards, and return to the shop, while considering how the experience must work for baristas and owners.
Developed requirements and concepts for table and counter touchpoints that connect NFC and QR enrollment to the real coffee-shop environment.
Defined the problem the pilot should test, the proposed structure, founder and shop responsibilities, success measures, and the onboarding work needed to support a first partner.
Helped shape the venture's positioning, website, ideal pilot-shop profile, target decision-makers, outreach channels, and the materials needed to explain the product clearly.
Coordinate priorities and documentation with my technical co-founder so business decisions, experience requirements, and technical work stay aligned.
04 · Product experience
The product foundation includes the customer enrollment flow, digital-wallet experience, reward lookup and stamping, owner dashboard, and physical NFC and QR touchpoints. These examples show the experience we have built and tested internally; dashboard figures are illustrative rather than live customer results.

05 · Current stage
We have defined and tested the core experience, established what an initial pilot should validate, and identified the type of coffee shop and decision-makers we want to approach. The next stage is securing the first pilot relationship and applying that work in a real coffee-shop environment.
Core product journey, in-store experience, pilot scope, founder responsibilities, success measures, ideal pilot profile, and outreach-channel direction.
Secure the first pilot shop, finalize partner-specific onboarding and materials, and collect real feedback from customers, staff, and the owner.
The venture has not completed a live pilot. The case study shows the work required to reach this stage without presenting projected or illustrative information as customer results.
06 · What it demonstrates
myReturners has given me hands-on experience turning an idea into something more concrete: understanding users, shaping a product experience, coordinating with a technical partner, defining responsibilities, preparing a pilot, and communicating what the product is and why it matters.
The most important lesson has been that progress is not only about adding features. It is about deciding what needs to be true next, aligning the people responsible, and creating a clear path from the product we have built to the first real customer environment.
